We've had a pile of killer auctions recently, but few have pulled at my heart strings like this BOGO listing. It features two legendary Austrian four-wheel drives. The first, a 1972 Steyr-Puch Pinzgauer, has spent the last 10 years as a work horse for a zip line company in Georgia, carrying customers to the top of a ridge line. With portal axles, locking front and rear differentials, and a troop carrier set up in the rear, it's about as well-suited to rumbling up a hill side as any machine you're likely to find.

If that wasn't enough, the listing also included this 1981 Puch G300D. I can hear what you're saying right now.

"Zach, that's a Mercedes G-Wagen."

You're right. Sort of. Before the G-Wagen became the official vehicle of rich white ladies, it was a grunt in the Austrian military. Steyr-Puch build the G to be Austria's HMMV, with a ton of ground clearance, beefy stick axles, excellent approach and departure angles, and a wading depth that will embarrass any Jeep.

Clearly, this one has seen better days, having not moved with any intent for more than 10 years, but it's included in the PInzgauer auction. Does anyone need two Austrian warhorses? Look, we don't use the "need" word around here. It took all of my restraint not to damn the checking account and bid on these myself.
