Everyone's (or at least your dad's) favorite Piano Man is hanging up his leathers. Billy Joel, the crooning voice of yuppie boomer angst, is auctioning his entire motorcycle collection because, well, he's old. At 77, the New York export is getting past riding age, and Gooding Christie's is helping him move his 70-bike stable, with the proceeds going to The Joel Foundation, his personal charity.

Joel has amassed a really, really cool collection over the last 50-some years. None of the bikes are DirtHammer fare, but they're so cool we figured we'd break from the norm for this one. We're particularly in love with his squad of bevel-head Ducatis, including a 750SS and a Mike Hailwood Replica, and the smattering of old Triumphs and Moto Guzzis.
