Polaris Unveils 400-horsepower, $200k RZR Pro R Factory Boost
Before about three years ago, Polaris' racing programs were primarily known for getting kicked around the deserts of the world by Can-Am. From Dakar to Baja and most places in between, Can-Am's race-prepped Maverick X3s were the dominant force in side-by-side racing.

But then, Polaris had an awakening. Whether they were tired of getting knocked around or just decided to get off their heels is a topic for another day. What we know is in 2023, they dropped the fully race ready Polaris RZR Pro R Factory in partnership with SCI Distribution. Then in early 2024 they took home their first-ever Dakar Rally victory. Then they won the next two Dakars.
This year, they gave the consumer Pro R the kick in the ass we had all been waiting for, unveiling the 275-horsepower Pro R Boost late this summer. And today, they finally completed the circuit with the unveil of the 2027 Polaris RZR Pro R Factory Boost.

Unveiled at Camp RZR in Glamis, the Pro R Factory Boost is a 400-horsepower carbon fiber-bodied, race-ready side-by-side straight from Polaris. Or, from Polaris via SCI Distribution, who will handle sales of the $200,000 Factory Boost alongside the naturally aspirated Pro R Factory.
Race goodies include a full race-ready cage and cockpit, a longer wheelbase for high-speed stability, up to 400 horsepower from the turbo'd, 2.0-liter four cylinder, and a race-tuned version of Polaris' excellent Dynamix DV electronic suspension.
Polaris hasn't said how many the plan to build, but purchase seems to be by inquiry, so if you want one ya gotta mean it. The Pro R Factory Boost will debut in competition at King of the Hammers in early 2027. We cannot wait.
