The Polaris General is one of the longest-lived side-by-sides on the market. It's been largely unchanged since its debut in 2020. That means it carries a lot of the powertrain and electronics that helped Polaris make its name as one of the best UTV companies in the business. Added to that, it ushered in a new design standard for rec-ute rigs. Don't believe us? Look at any other manufacturer's rec-ute and you'll see more than a couple echoes of the General.

The '24 General is powered by the Polaris ProStar parallel twin, a 999cc, 100-horsepower mill that saw duty in everything from Rangers to RZRs, and is known to put up with lots of abuse. It's a pretty peppy, playful mill, to boot.

This 2024 General is a top-of-the-line Ultimate model. That means it has Polaris' excellent RideCommand infotainment, a Rockford-Fosgate Bluetooth stereo, and front and rear trail cameras. The running gear and suspension are unchanged from the lower trims. Still, the General's manually adjustable Walker Evans Needle shocks are excellent and will handle whatever you throw at them.
