This 2024 GasGas ES500F is the third of four bikes in a lot being sold by our friends at Off-Piste Adventures to fund their 2027 Dakar Rally push! The bike started life as a street-legal GasGas ES500F, which OPA used as a blank slate to build a sick rally raid machine. This bike tackled the Sonora Rally and the Baja 500 and is ready to turn around and do it all again. Just chuck on a new set of tires, set up the suspension, and you're racing. The bike has cosmetic wear and tear from its life as a racer, and has covered 2,961 miles in 85 hours of run time. Those miles weren't easy, but the bike was looked after the way race bikes should be.
Off-Piste Adventures have are Sonora Rally and at the Baja veterans, and built these bikes off the back of those experiences.
GasGas is owned by KTM, and their 500cc four-stroke dirt bikes share chassis, engines, and suspension with the KTM 500 and Husqvarna 501. To get these bikes into fighting shape, Off-Piste bolted on the best OEM parts from the three platforms, as well as a thick roster of choice aftermarket parts. The resulting rippers are fully street-legal rally raid weapons with GasGas frames and engines.
Because Off-Piste started with the factory 50-state legal GasGas ES500F, these bikes have clean street titles. These are fully legal big-bore, four-stroke dual sports built for the worst terrain you can imagine. Whether you're looking for a turn-key race bike or just the coolest bike at your next dual-sport rally, you cannot go wrong.
We're going to break down the mod list into categories and list everything below for clarity, but the crew at OPA touched almost every facet of the bikes. From comfort mods for long-distance desert hauls to rally nav equipment to increased fuel capacity and desert-ready tires and mousses, the bikes are built so you can set the suspension adjustments to your specs and take the green flag.
Off-Piste spent well north of $20,000 on each bike including purchase price, and more than 40 hours of work. Reserve is well below that. For roughly the out-the-door cost of a brand-new, stock KTM 500, you'll have a fully race-ready bike.
