DIRTHAMMER SAYS
This 2023 Honda Talon 1000R is about as clean as a three-year-old SXS can be, and is mechanically almost entirely stock, which makes it a nice base for a trail build or an inexpensive way into one of the coolest sport side-by-sides out there. The seller added front and rear windshields, a front light bar, a trailer hitch out back, and aftermarket radius rods. This rig is located in Mineral, Virginia, just a short drive from Richmond.
This rig has just 105 hours on the clock and 715 miles on the odometer, which in Honda World is almost as good as zero. The Talon's 999cc parallel twin and dual-clutch transmission also see action in the Africa Twin adventure bike, where they're known to knock on 100,000 miles. With no CVT belts to worry about, they are as low maintenance as they are reliable.
We've been all over these United States in Honda Talons, from the sweaty hollows of West Virginia to the blistering deserts of Johnson Valley, California, and we can say without hesitation that the Talon is one of our favorite sport side-by-sides of all time. They're quick, nimble, reliable, and as playful as a barrel of monkeys with the row-your-own six-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Talon won't spank your buddy's RZR Pro R in a straight line, but they'll keep right with the bigger machines when hustling down a tight trail.
Best of all, this rig is priced well, well below the MSRP of a new Talon. It's got manually adjustable suspension, the stock wheels and tires, and a couple of thoughtful mods that make it a really compelling trail rig. Bid today!
