DIRTHAMMER SAYS
This 2016 Yamaha YXZ 1000R was built for and raced at King of the Hammers by its current owner. It's an absolutely comprehensive race car build with no expenses spared, low hours on new parts, and pictures to prove it competed at one of the world's toughest off-road races. It's available in Hanover, Virginia, exclusively from DirtHammer!
The Yamaha YXZ 1000R was a darling of racers all around the country from its introduction to the end of its production cycle last year. Thanks to its dual-clutch or traditional manual transmission, competition-oriented chassis, and bulletproof Yamaha inline three-cylinder engine, the YXZ was an absolute ripper right out of the box. Despite its relatively low 112 crank horsepower, the YXZ punched above its weight thanks to its deft chassis, impeccable reliability, tunability, and nimbleness.
This YXZ was built by the current owner and campaigned as a privateer entry at King of the Hammers. In preparation for the race just about every major system was modified. The full list of mods is below, but includes everything from comprehensive suspension work to safety equipment and stronger axles. The mods below have 130 miles on them, according to the seller, and the machine has covered 116 miles overall.
The seller is moving up to a new machine for next year's KOH, so it's time for this one to make room. Whether you want a pre-runner, a dialed trail toy, a KOH race car, or an awesome rallycross rig, this machine is priced well below what you would spend to build it from scratch. At less than $20,000, this race rig is almost a no-brainer!
