Jeep Wranglers are to off-roaders what the DR-Z 400 is to dirt bikers and the Polaris RZR is to UTV fans. It's the standard by which all other off-roaders are judged and the mold for any manufacturer who wants to build a small, rugged, cheap off-road vehicle. Just copy the Wrangler and you're most of the way there. For our money, the 2007 Jeep Wrangler Limited Rubicon might be the ultimate version of the quintessential factory four-wheel drive.

It came from the factory with Dana 44 axles front and rear with electronic lockers, a 4:1 low range, electronic front sway bar disconnect, 4:10 gears, and skid plates. This one has the super rare factory half-doors and a six-speed manual transmission. The current owner has had this rig for 15 years, and it was his daily driver until last year. It's been wheeled all over East Tennessee, and it bears a few scars from its trail work. It has always been well loved and properly maintained. For what it's worth, the current owner calls it "Sweetheart." This isn't some quick-flip beater Jeep.

Over the last 15 years, Sweetheart got a pile of excellent parts to give it an even sharper edge in tough, East Coast wheeling. The full list is below, but it includes: a two-inch lift, Metal Cloak front lower control arms and track bar, new fender flares this year, new front and rear bumpers this year, a new 12,000 pound winch, a new Bestop Trek Top, and 17-inch Wrangler JL alloys wrapped in 35-inch Mickey Thompson tires.
