DIRTHAMMER SAYS
NO RESERVE!
The Kawasaki Mule has been around so long that you could almost say it predates side-by-sides. Kawasaki introduced the tiny, indestructible utility rig back in 1989. Never intended for anything other than hauling small loads around farms and job sites, the Mule might be the most aptly named vehicle ever. It's solid, reliable, bulletproof, and useful. It's made for whatever task you can imagine, and it's happy to shoulder more than its share of the load. Much like, you guessed it, a mule.
This 2006 Kawasaki Mule 3010 4x4 is so clean it could damn near be a museum piece. Unlike most of its kin, this little rig was stored indoors its whole life, and has only done 155 hours over the last 20 years. The previous owner used it to put a small boat in a lake in Georgia. It's got a few really cool add-ons, the most obvious of which are the aluminum extended bedsides and rear-facing jump seats in the bed. Then there's the carpeted bed floor. We've never seen another UTV with that feature. The result, in addition to passenger comfort, is a virtually unmarked bed floor.
Under the bed lives a carbureted 617cc four-stroke v-twin that puts out just under 35 lb.-ft. of torque. Kawi didn't publish a horsepower figure, presumably because it's tiny. Acceleration can most charitably be described as "deliberate," but speed and performance aren't the point. Despite the paltry power numbers, you get an 800-pound bed payload rating, and a 1,200-pound towing capacity.
The v-twin drives a continuously variable automatic, and the Mule gets a manual locking rear differential, a manual transfer case, and four-wheel drive. The tech showcase stops there. Everything is as analog, simple, and serviceable as possible.
We're letting this low-hour, ludicrously clean Mule go for no reserve! It's on its original MSO, so titling it should be relatively simple if you decide to go that route. This thing is rad, ready for more work, and as clean as 20-year-old side-by-sides get!
