DIRTHAMMER SAYS
This 1985 Kawasaki KLT250 was originally owned by the Shriners Organization and was used exclusively as a parade vehicle. It has covered 1,713 gentle miles, apparently exclusively on pavement. It is in excellent mechanical and cosmetic shape, with just a few minor blemishes.
All mechanical systems work as they should, and our friends at Davis Auto Sales had their team service it before it was listed. The carburetor was adjusted, and the original under-seat fuel tank is in good condition. The headlight, taillight, speedometer, and odometer all work properly. This rig is original down to the era-correct Titan Turf Tamer A/T tires. It has front and rear cargo racks, a headlight guard, an aftermarket kill-switch tether, and a trailer hitch and ball mount.
Kawasaki introduced the KLT250 in 1982 for the '83 model year as a workhorse three-wheeler aimed at farmers and ranchers. Think of it as a three-wheeled version of the modern Brute Force ATV, and you're close. The Kawi's cargo racks, locking limited-slip differential, speedometer and head and taillights were a departure from the bare-bones three-wheelers introduced in the '70s, and kept it competitive with recreation/utility three wheelers from Yamaha and Honda.
Davis Auto Sales has had this '85 KLT250 in its extensive three-wheeler collection, where it has been kept in climate-controlled storage. It's a collector-quality example that is ready to be used and displayed.
