DIRTHAMMER SAYS
Staunton, VA.
Who doesn't love a big-body Bronco? If it's good enough for Sturgill Simpson, it is more than good enough for any of us. And this one is an awesome, driver-quality example of a bullnose Ford Bronco. It's got its bumps and bruises, but it's very complete, very cool, runs very well, and has tons and tons of presence.
Like any good old Ford truck, it's got a 302 V8, a four-speed, and a manual transfer case. The powertrain is nigh on unstoppable, and the 302 sounds incredible through an aftermarket true-dual exhaust. It's not super loud, but it's got a wonderful burble. It'll need a few things to be perfect, but Bronco values are climbing and this one is a fantastic entry point. Our favorite classic car insurer says an 85 Bronco in good condition should fetch $22,100.
As it sits, this rig is a perfect cruiser, and the stance is just about perfect. It's crunchy enough to be a daily driver and occasional trail rig without guilt or fear about damaging perfect paint, or use it an affordable base for a Concourse-quality build.
